Ah, Space Lab. This is something the kids look forward to each year. It is a HUGE portable planetarium that comes to our school media center each year. In tech lab, kids are learning and writing about planets. In art, they are drawing about planets. In science, we will learn about space. It's so much fun. You take off your shoes, crawl through the opening and sit inside. Then the media specialist lowers the light to blackness and shows us all the stars, identifying constellations, planets, and the like. She is so enthusiastic about it, the kids remember from year to year.It's a great thing and available to all the schools in Burlington County, NJ. Maybe your county has something similar. Check it out.
